Councilmember Rebecca Maurer to Speak at National League of Cities Conference on Cleveland Lead-Safe Law’s Progress and Challenges

Cleveland City Councilwoman Rebecca Maurer will be presenting at a panel this Friday, November 21st at the National League of Cities Conference.

She will be sharing lessons learned from Cleveland’s effort to create and implement the Lead Safe Certification legislation. She was invited to participate and discuss her 2025 Lead Safe Housing at a Crossroads report, which highlighted key issues including the need to better spend dollars and iterate on the 2019 law to make sure we realize the dream of a lead-safe Cleveland for our city’s kids.

The workshop, designed for elected officials, community advocates, nonprofit leaders, and others, gives real-world examples from cities that have successfully advanced local health and well-being policies.
